The Curious Cases Of Laurent Koscielny & Sebastien Squillaci

Kos & Squil – Not upto the mark.

At the start of the summer transfer window, what most Arsenal fans wanted to see was some new defenders to bulk up the Gunners’ defence, so when the news came through that Arsene Wenger had bought two new centre halves, they were happy.

The signings of Squillaci and Koscielny seemed to be the right move, adding cover for Thomas Vermaelen and one of them possibly becoming a regular.

Mission Accomplished – London Re-claimed!

After taking my very small break for Christmas unlike the Arsenal team, I had very little time for the pre-match build up against Chelsea. My day drew to a close minutes before kick off. Masterstroke from Le Prof As Theo-ry Comes Off Age!

Before the match with Chelsea, critics had been saying that the Gunners weren’t good enough to win the title because they never turned up when facing the top teams.

True, Arsenal’s record against the Blues in recent times has not been great, having suffered some heartbreaking and embarrassing losses.

However, with Chelsea not winning in seven games Arsenal were arguably the favourites going into the top of the table clash on Monday night. Read on.. (more…)
