The Unofficial Arsenal Blog
He leave when he wants. This is what @PixieGooner tweeted just after RvP’s announcement was made public. Somehow this tweet seemed to me like a final couplet in the Van Persie Chapter for Arsenal. Although I would like to add another to this compilation. He Gets Injured When He Wants. Now lets analyze this drama in detail.
Robin Van Persie. Wenger found him at Fayenoord and decided to give this kid a break. This kid had a temperament issue. He was no less than Mario on that front. Wenger brought this kid under his tutelage, supported him through thick and thin. Wenger stood by him through 7 seasons of his affair with the medical staff at Arsenal. Wenger stood by him even when he was alleged for rape.
And after all that there was a tweet yesterday saying BREAKING: RVP has failed his medical at Man United. Doctors say its a back problem which was caused by carrying Arsenal for the past 4 years. Well he did carry Arsenal but only for one year and Arsenal carried him of 7 years. It does not look like a balanced equation for me. The rebuttal to that tweet was more emotional for Gooners than anything else. It is Wenger who has carried these ungrateful good-for-nothing (not human) beings on his shoulders and they stab him at first opportunity. The only blame that lies on Wenger is why did he trust these beings.
But I am happy that he has finally left. The whole saga got on my nerves and it was good fun to see Fergie having a tough time negotiating with Arsenal. The best thing is the money that we got for him. 24 million pounds for a player with 11 months on his contract and a chequered injury record. I will take that any day. The only regret is why Man United. Would have loved to see him at Juventus.
But let’s not waste time thinking about what other destination he could have gone and lets re-invest that money in the squad. Lets get some defensive minded player and let’s challenge for the title. This year can be ours if Wenger does spend that amount back into the team. Up the gunners.
well who ever written this blog, is according to me is written in out of frustration of RVP leaving Arsenal. When he was there in Arsenal he was the hero according to you and now you are trying to reveal some childish facts. And its a waste of time to count the probability of any player getting injured. Dont forget arsenal is going through a time without RVP. In place of commenting on RVP better just regret. No hard feelings ! !
I have written this blog and there is no frustration my friend. The frustration is all yours that you are coming to an arsenal forum to check what we think of RvP.
He is a brilliant player, no doubt about that and that’s one reason why Wenger persisted with him. And facts are fact, may be childish in your opinion.
And Arsenal is much bigger than RvP and we will live without him, not an issue. The probability is just a reminder of what might be lurking around the corner. Take his goals with a pinch of salt as he has a particular linking toward the infirmary.
RVP can jump on a rocket and go to the moon for all I care. We have moved on and he can do as he pleases, but I hope we have the last laugh.
All in good time
